We are pleased to be able to offer a modified Kids Camp at Lake of Bays Tennis Club and hope your child enjoys the opportunity to learn some new skills, make friends and have fun! We are implementing the COVID-19 Guidance Protocol provided by the Ontario Ministry of Health for Summer Day Camps and have outlined important information for your perusal.
#1. Your child will need to be screened daily for symptoms of COVID 19. A screening form will be e-mailed to you prior to the start of camp and will need to be submitted before your child arrives at camp each day and will include daily temperature checks.
If your child exhibits any symptoms of illness, they will not be able to participate in the program. If they, or anyone in your household, are exhibiting symptoms, please keep your camper at home. The symptoms may include the following: fever, chills, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, runny nose, stuffy or congested nose, hoarse voice, loss of taste or smell, headache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and difficulty swallowing. If symptoms of COVID-19 present while in camp, we will contact you and your child will need to be picked up immediately or isolated until pick up is possible.
#2. Pick-up and drop-off procedures which support physical distancing will be implemented, such as having one parent/guardian pick-up and drop-off each camper at a designated spot and starting times may be staggered to accommodate a large number of participants.
#3. Please send your child with their own mask or face covering (in a re-sealable bag or container), water bottle, snack, tennis racquet, swim gear and towel, hand sanitizer, tissues, a plastic bag, and tennis balls. We will be providing tennis balls for drills but for games and tournaments each player will need to bring their own canister of tennis balls. All personal belongings should be labeled with the camper’s name.
#4. Each camper will also be required to follow a code of conduct to ensure the safety and health of all participants and staff, such as:
• Maintaining physical distancing of at least 2 metres between other camp participants and staff and when this is not possible, camper will wear a face covering (non-medical mask)
• Practice frequent, proper hand hygiene by hand washing using soap and water or using an alcohol-based sanitizer.
#5. If a camper behaves in a way which compromises health and safety, the parent will be contacted immediately, and the camper will need to be picked up.
Due to the evolving nature of the pandemic and public health responses, the program may experience unforeseen changes. We will work to keep you updated and appreciate your patience and understanding.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming your child to LBTC Tennis Camp this summer!
